Site Mechanical Superintendent -
Qualification :
Degree or HND in relative engineering discipline or its equivalent.
Experience :
More than 15 years’ experience in maintenance work (preferably mechanical) in the
petrochemical/oil and gas or power generation industry with at least 7 years’ experience in
leading maintenance roles e.g. Senior Engineer role or its equivalent.
Job Skills :
a. English language read, write and speaking to IELTS level 5 or equivalent.
b. Able to work with computers, word, excel applications as well as Microsoft windows.
c. Knowledgeable on safety aspects of working in a petrochemical/oil and gas industry
d. Knowledgeable on quality systems and can perform regular audits to demonstrate
compliance to COMPANY requirements.
e. Familiar with the different welding techniques and quality protocols.
f. Good skill for managing a maintenance organisation even during emergencies.
g. Knowledgeable on industry standards, DEPs and relevant international codes.
h. Experienced in using CMMS to carry out the work, report cost and KPI performance.
i. Proven experience in improving staff productivity in an operating site and creatively
j. Knowledgeable in Planning, scheduling and cost leadership
k. Skillful in maintenance execution
Principal Responsibilities :
a. Plan associated activities and acquire the resources to mobilise all required personnel
and equipment in time.
b. Act on all aspects of the WORK for CONTRACTOR.
c. Organise site maintenance team of different disciplines and manage the site
organisation independently.
d. Make lifting plans and structural calculations.
e. Organise the internal and external logistics and resources to execute critical and
urgent maintenance work.
f. Use CMMS to carry out the WORK, report cost and KPI performance.
g. Maintain a competency management system for all employees.
h. Ensure Omanisation and ICV element of the CONTRACT is fully implemented.
i. Assist in the development of Omani national employees.
j. Ensure delivery on COMPANY related Work Orders without having to refer to the
CONTRACTOR’S off-site head office.
